Love is not a feeling. Feelings change like the seasons, especially if you live in Northeast Ohio 😁. Love isn’t a song, or flowers, or even words, but love is… Love is God.

Love is action. Love is a conscious choice every day. Regardless if the recipient of that love is your husband, your child, or even yourself, we’ve got to choose to do it. See love isn’t just warm and fuzzy and given in the form of kisses and compliments when the recipient is doing right by you, but love is patience, love is kindness when the other person is being a jerk to you. Love is not complaining or comparing, Love is service. Love is sacrifice even if you don’t receive it back.

Love is God my Sister. Apart from Him we don’t have the capacity to love completely. Relationships, especially marriage relationships can’t and won’t last or thrive without Love. And I’m not talking about sex, or a Hollywood love story, but real, true love. I’m leaving you with some scriptures that describes this Love. I’m praying that we would look into God’s Word and find out more about the Love He has for us and the love He wants us to give ❤️

““For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

John 3:16 ESV

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 5:8 NKJV

“This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.”

1 John 4:10 NLT

“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.”

1 Corinthians 13:4-7, 13 NLT
