Hey Good Thing!

Whew! What a Monday! My emotions were on 10,000 today. I laughed, cried, got angry, all the feelings. It really did feel like the kids were against me, work, my weight loss goals… just life arrrrghhhhh!

As I prepared to encourage you, God used this to encourage me:

“Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:26-31‬ ‭ESV‬‬

So what are you saying God? The Spirit helps me in my weaknesses. He intercedes for me. All things (even difficult, hard, excruciating things) are working together for my good because I love God, and He’s called me; and knew me, and knows me, and you’re conforming me to the image of Christ so that I can be an example to others in the faith; and say what!!!! “if You are for me, who can be against me”?

Wait a minute now! When I line all that up against the things that are going on in my life, it makes those things seem so much smaller when compared to God and His Word! So, instead of saying woe is me to my situations, I need to be saying what God says! He’s for me!

Sis, how about you? What are you going to say to these things that are going on in your life?
