For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. (Matthew 6:14 NASB)

Forgiveness can feel like a bad word. Sometimes we feel like others don’t understand how badly we have been wounded by them (our Mom, husband, boss, coworker, family member etc…); and if you knew just what they did to me you wouldn’t forgive either. Sis, forgiveness really isn’t for the offender but for the offended. My Pastor’s wife says it best, “if you’re going to hold that person down in the dirt, you’re down there with them.” (I do hope I quoted her right, 😉)

What I am saying is this: get up out of the dirty mud of unforgiving others, this mud turns into a swamp of bitterness that becomes infested with monsters like depression, sickness, complaining, and the like.

I wanna leave you with this: have you sinned? The answer is yes. And do you want forgiveness for your sins? Yes again. If we want to receive forgiveness from the Father, we’ve got to give it too!

I didn’t say it was easy, but it’s necessary ❤️

I’ll be praying for us all in this area this week.
