The above scripture is my theme for the month. I must say, I’ve read this verse and quoted it probably hundreds of times, but I’ve never seen it so lit up, and blazing till now. The renew your mind part is really shouting at me. So far, as I have prayed and asked God what parts of my mind need to be renewed or renovated; He has revealed these two areas that need a serious, total, and complete gut job.

1. How I view myself.
2. My view of what God thinks of me.

These are just a couple areas. I’ll share more throughout the month. Some scriptures that God is using to tear up and punch down my toxic thoughts, and the lies I have allowed the devil to fill my head up with are:

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭139:13-14‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I would count them, they are more than the sand. I awake, and I am still with you.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭139:17-18‬ ‭ESV‬‬

In those renovation shows I like so much, they don’t nicely kick down walls, or gently rip out floors; they take sledgehammers and get to work! Sister, are there some areas in your life that the Holy Spirit needs to rip completely out and up? Are there thoughts, patterns, lies on the walls of your heart and mind that need to be washed down and repainted? Will you give the Lord free reign to make you new? I know, I know, this email sounds a lot like last weeks, I believe it’s intentional. I believe there might be some fear in giving the Lord a hammer, bulldozer, or saw to renovate some of the areas of our lives, but sweetheart, it’s time! It’s time to be free! Free from the grimy, moldy, cobwebs we’ve tried to paint over, or ignore. It’s time to let the Master Builder Jesus, get to work. Go ahead, ask Him where He’d like to start.
