Perspective. All the definitions are important, but I’d like us to pay attention to the second one.

A particular attitude toward or way of regarding something; a point of view; a sense of proportion.

How is your view of God? How do you view Him in proportion to your situation? Is He bigger, or is your perspective of your situation, overshadowing God?

“Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.””
‭‭Daniel‬ ‭3:16-18‬ ‭ESV‬‬

My Pastor once preached a message called, “The Power of a Proper Perspective”. When our view of a matter is right, it changes everything. Like our friends here in the passage, Shadrach, Meshach, and  Abednego, we can be faced with some fiery situations; but when we have a proper perspective of God, we don’t worry about the heat of our situation, but we trust our God in the face of the fire.

These three Hebrew boys, as they are sometimes called, trusted God in the face of death, but they point us to someone greater who trusted God and actually died… Jesus Christ! Sister, in the garden while Jesus prayed, before being crucified, He was agonizing over the impending death he was about to face, but his perspective, his view of God was bigger! He trusted God completely. He died, was buried, and then He ROSE 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

I don’t know your particular situation, but I do know our particular God! He specializes in doing things that seem impossible! We must fix our eyes on the God who delivers men out of fiery furnaces (read the rest of the passage 😉), raises the dead, and saves the lost weary soul. Ask Him to change your perspective! Declare to your soul today that God is Able and Trustworthy! Let’s fix our eyes on Him.

With Love,
