Healing is vital to our lives as married and single women. If we don’t heal it can disrupt different parts of our lives.
Heal-become sound or healthy again.

When I look at this definition, the woman with the issue of blood comes to mind.

“And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years, and who had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse. She had heard the reports about Jesus and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his garment. For she said, “If I touch even his garments, I will be made well.” And immediately the flow of blood dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease. And Jesus, perceiving in himself that power had gone out from him, immediately turned about in the crowd and said, “Who touched my garments?” And his disciples said to him, “You see the crowd pressing around you, and yet you say, ‘Who touched me?’ “But the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came in fear and trembling and fell down before him and told him the whole truth. And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭5:25-31, 33-34‬ ‭ESV‬‬ (You Version Bible app)

Again I see something different here that I have never seen before, a couple things actually:

•She suffered much under many physicians. The people who were supposed to help her actually might have made things worse, and not just one physician it was many.

•The woman touched Jesus’ clothing and was healed instantly, he could have let her go about her way but Jesus makes a point in making it known that He knew that He’d been touched for healing.

I don’t know who may have hurt you before you got married, or if it was your husband that has caused your pain, but Jesus can heal the deepest, most complex issues. Jesus not only can heal you, but wants you know You belong to Him. Once the woman told Him the whole truth, Jesus calls her Daughter.

Healing, soundness, and health are available to you and I through Jesus Christ. Our issues may not be physical like the woman in the passage of scripture, but Jesus still offers healing today. It’s Himself! Jesus is our healing, our balm, our medicine. We can go to Jesus in prayer. We can place our trust in Him to heal the unseen wounds of our past. We don’t have to continue carrying our issues. Revival for our hearts is in the scriptures. My prayer is that we go to the well of God’s Word daily to get the sweet healing medicine we need.
